One thing Jake and I both have wanted is a big family and too most that's what we have right now with 3 children. But to us 3 children is not a large family 4 or more children is a large family. So we have been trying to conceive baby # 4 with no luck. I would love to have 6 but my body is telling me that the next should be my last. I have had 3 c-sections so far and had a hard recovery after Sweet Pea.
Since we have been trying to conceive I have tried several different things with no luck so far. We have tried a "trying to conceive kit", "sperm check kit" and a "fertility monitor". Well from using the Sperm check we were able to rule out that Jake was the problem causing us not to be able to conceive easily. So it's something in my body that is causing us all the problems.
So I started thinking about it and more and started wondering if the foods and drinks I put in my body could be causing the problems. So I started doing some research and found out that what I am eating and drinking could be a big part of why were having problems. I never realized how consuming caffeine could cause infertility but it can. So my goal is to limit myself to 1 soda a day and replace the rest of the soda I normally drink with either lemonade or some sort of caffeine-free soda.
So hopefully after changing my diet and drinking habits I will be able to announce soon that we are expecting our fourth child...
Good luck to you. I hope it works out for you. Sometimes it's just a matter of God's Timeing.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying hard that this works for you! I'm so sorry it's taking so long. Maybe just try real food. Like nothing boxed, canned, processed. Get rid of caffeine, HFCS, Aspartame. Those things are bad. I really hope we hear your good news soon, I'm pulling for you! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteYou might also look into Fertility Blend, a supplement you can take that's supposed to help get your reproductive system in balance. I have no idea if that was what helped us, but it didn't hurt!
ReplyDeleteI know it must be frustrating for you. Good luck - hope to hear about your newest addition soon :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that either this works or you find out the problem {if it's not caffeine} soon so you can have that little plus sign soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's great You want a big Family! I grew up in a family of 7!Give yourself time and it will happen!

I'd love more kids too, but 4 was enough for us (well, for my husband anyway, lol). In any case, just give your body time. Thankfully baby girl is still young. Hopefully making those changes in diet will help! If not, maybe visit the dr and see if they have any thoughts or suggestions?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard after you've had several children to find that you can't get pregnant so easily. It took us 6 months to get pregnant with our last. Hoping you have luck with the diet change!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I would love to have lots of babies too!
ReplyDeleteI too would love a lot of babies. A website I enjoy looking at, especially from the fertility and foods point, is: http://www.naturallyknockedup.com Hope you're able to conceive.
ReplyDeleteI tried the fertility blend vitamins from GNC or vitamin shoppe (can't remember which) and primrose oil capsules and got pregnant (after TTC for 2 years) two months after. It's at least something to look into. But eating more healthly and nixing sodas in general is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! :D
There is a book called "Fertility Wisdom" by Dr. Angela Wu. I learned about it through my acupuncturist a few years ago. Though we were not trying to conceive at the time I held to it's teachings religiously for over a year to help get my whole body in sync. After just a couple of months I became much more relaxed and felt just plain better. When my Husband and I decided we were going to try and have a baby it took us 3 tries. Literally. I have recommended it to so many people and lots of them have rolled their eyes saying there is no way it did what I claim. But it did! The people who tried just a couple of the hints the book offered ended up pregnant, too! The only things I had to tweak in my life were what I ate (we ate healthy, but she explains why certain foods at a certain time of the month are better than at other times) and some of her breathing and meditation exercises. I know it sounds bogus, but I promise it is a fantastic book. Good Luck and please let me know if you read it or use it.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear you are having a difficult time. We are actually having the same problem. We are ttc #3 after another miscarriage. Sometimes I am not sure it is in the cards for us, but I know in my heart that I have to keep trying. Sending lots of positive vibes your way
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you all!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm trying for my first with know luck yet
