Holiday Gift Guide: Scooter The Penguin Review & Giveaway

This is the first of many great reviews and giveaways that Joy of Momma Joyner and I will be bringing you with our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide!!

One thing that my family loves to do is cuddle up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and watch a movie. We love all different kinds of movies and shows. Jake and I are very picky on what we allow the boys to watch and that is one reason we do not have cable in our home. So I am always happy when I see the Dove symbol on movies because I know that I do not need to fear my children will be seeing something that I do not approve of.

So one of the newest movies my family has had the joy of reviewing is "The Adventures of Scooter The Penguin". This is a very fun animated movie for the kids that touches on two great lessons of love and self-worth. The story line of Scooter: Scooter is a unique little bird from a lost colony of penguins known for their amazing speed and strength. Abandoned before he was even hatched, Scooter is taken in by a family of silver penguins who encourage his talents. Still, Scooter feels like he doesn't belong. It is not until he learns lessons in love and self-worth that he returns to his village and saves the day.

The kids, Jake and I loved watching this movie and rooting for Scooter as he saves his village. It was also very fun to watch as Scooter discovered who he was and his purpose. I like how any problems that arose Scooter found a good way to work them out and didn't give up in the end. I love having movies in my collection that can help teach my children very important life lessons and this one goes into that collection for sure!
