One thing that I have quickly became big on is organic skincare items. With having young children with sensitive skin I worry about what chemicals are in the products that I put on them. Their sun lotion is no different and I was very happy to have the chance to team up with block island organics. Their mission is to give everyone access to safe, effective and non-toxic suncare products. They believe in living outside and enjoying the sun and not hiding from it.
Everyday Sweet Pea asks me if we can go to the beach and visit Grandma. Unfortunately a trip to Grandma's house is 16 hours one way. So we usually settle for Nana & Papa's pool to cool off when the weather is warm. Thanks to block island organics sun lotion my kids are enjoying the warm weather without any chemicals being put on them.
My boys and husband get sun burn real easy where Sweet Pea and I usually just tan. But thanks to block island organics sunburn relief we are able to get them feeling better quickly. The only thing I dislike about these products is if you don't get the sun lotion rubbed in quick enough it dries and you end up looking like you rubbed white paint on yourself. So we learned quickly to use small amounts when applying it so we can get it rubbed in quickly.
So glad to read this, I've been using typical sunscreen and I cringe every time I put it on the kids. I want something safer. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't ever used organic skin care products for suncare. I would definitely prefer going this direction as long as i works and it's not full of chemicals. Thanks for the introduction to this brand! Like the tip about rubbing it in quickly, too!
