Are you planning a party for your prince or princess? If so then you will want to make sure you grab some of Duncan Hines new cake mixes Blue Velvet or Pink Velvet. These cake mixes take out the need to add food coloring to your cake.
Pumpkin and I had fun with the Blue Velvet cake mix by making school spirited cupcakes for his class. Since his school colors are blue and white the blue velvet cake mix was perfect. We made paw print cupcakes which were a hit at his class birthday party!
Pumpkin helped with the decorating of the cupcakes and he was so proud of himself. I love spending time in the kitchen with my kids and making yummy stuff. Thanks to Duncan Hines and their wonderful mixes I am able to do just that. Not only are these mixes fun in color but also very delicious and light tasting.
I really liked that these cake mixes do not require the use of oil like most cake mixes. Instead these mixes only calls for eggs, water and butter. I used local fresh butter in my cake and it gave it a wonderful flavor. If you don't have a place that makes butter local to you I would recommend using organic butter then.
How fun! My princess will be turning 4 in August and I know she would love the Pink Velvet cake mix!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, love that there's blue and pink velvet cakes now! We've got about 5 more birthdays this month! Those will be perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh fun! I may have to get the blue one for my son's birthday next month. I wish they had green, it's his favorite color, but green cake isn't exactly appetizing!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are cute! They would be great for a baby gender reveal!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE mixes like these! They're easy but I LOVE the colors!
