Did you know that studies show that 26 percent of children who are read to three or four times a week recognize all the letters of the alphabet compared to 14 percent of children who are read to less frequently? Those stats just amaze me and make me realize how lucky my children are since they are read to on a daily basis. One of the newest books added to our collection is Harriet's Big Adventure.
One thing my children love are farms and farm animals so this book quickly became a favorite to read. In this story you follow Harriet a miniature donkey on her adventure of new places and meeting new friends. While reading Harriet’s Big Adventure, your children will be mesmerized by the illustrations and will learn life lessons about making new friends, exploring new places, and the importance of learning new things.
I love books that teach important lessons about life especially about making friends. Bubba has always struggled to make friends but the ones he has made I believe will be lifelong friends. This book has helped us show him that making friends weather lifelong or for the time is a good thing and that everyone needs friends.
