Do you love giving gifts? I know that I do especially to my secret prayer pal at church. I love finding unique spiritual gifts to give her that will be encouraging and uplifting. I was given the opportunity  to review a My Caring Cross. I have held onto this cross trying to decide who I would give it to. I wanted it to be someone who could benefit from it.

Handy Tips for Traveling Abroad with Kids

Handy Tips for Traveling Abroad with Kids

Traveling with children can be a headache at times, and that can be even more so when going overseas. Travel times are longer, the kids are more on edge from being out of their element, and depending on where you go, the parents also have the added burden of trying to handle things in a place where no one speaks their language. Despite all that, it’s still worth it. Here are a few tips to help.
Take Pics of your Kids
It's a vacation, so you're going to be taking pictures of your children all over the place. What we mean here is something different, and not nearly as fun as funny poses in front of the world's art treasures. Every day before going out, take a full body picture of your kids dressed in what they'll be wearing for the day. Should the unthinkable happen, or they simply get lost, authorities will have a current image to help them in the search.

With the Christmas and New Years right around the corner it's time to start planning your get togethers if you will be hosting any. We usually host some type of a get together whether for family or friends. My mother in law says that hosting is one of my gifts because I love to do it and am decent at it. I love the food part of parties I won't lie it is my favorite part. It's not necessarily that I love to eat all the food but because I love to cook.

Holiday Gift Guide: The World Almanac and Book of facts 2017

My husband is a history buff. Always said he should have been a history teacher. Me, not so much... He enjoyed The World Almanac and Book of Facts 2017. It even has the 2016 election results in it already. The World Almanac has been around since 1868 and has been the #1 go-to for all of your entertainment, reference, and learning needs. Not sure what happened in sports in 2016... look it up in the almanac. It has everything from sports trivia, facts, Olympics, politics, some of the strangest stories, entertainment, you name it and if it happened in 2016, its in the almanac.

Holiday Gift Guide: Watcharee Sauce

My husband loves Thai food. I have never tried it. I was given 4 jars of Thai sauce from Watcharee to try and they were delicious. I have to admit, I had no idea what to cook with it. Well, I was in luck. I got onto the website and they have recipes for each of the sauces. We love chicken so I was in luck when I found the recipe for Chicken Massaman Curry. If I knew this is what Thai food was like, I would have tried it sooner.

Holiday Gift Guide: Mommy's Time Out Wine

As a mom of 5 children I can honestly say that there are days I would LOVE a time out. "Time Out" - a time for rest or recreation away from one's usual work or studies. The hectic daily life can really get to you some days. There are days that I can not even get a couple minutes alone to use the bathroom without a child with me or banging on the door. I know that I am not alone here either.

CROSS Pens and the #WriteGift

Everyone has a story of their own but can you sum yours up to a short story? I know that I would personally have a hard time trying to sum up parts of my story. CROSS Pens is currently running a campaign called "The Long Story Short". This campaign is highlighting times when people took that next step. Whether it was moving away from home, how they started their career, getting in a relationship/engaged/married, or quitting a job to be self-employed, these moments, no matter how big or small, are ones that have lead them to where they are today.

Holiday Gift Guide: ToiletTree Products

I have to say that recently I fell in love with the new ToiletTree Bamboo bathroom product line! They offer some very beautiful pieces in this collection. We own several products from ToiletTree and 1 piece from the bamboo collection. I was very excited when I got the opportunity to review another piece with the Holiday Gift Guide this year. The Bamboo Laundry Hamper is really nice, and it's divided into two sides which makes it really handy for separating lights and darks. There is a strip of fabric that holds the lid and keeps it from flipping completely back. I really like that I can take the fabric hamper part out easily, which is very convenient for me and the boys.

Sponsor Spotlight: These Boots Are Made 4 Crawling

Do you have a little one that you are looking to fill a stocking for this year? For me it seems like filling Peanuts stocking is going to be hard for me. With him only being 3 1/2 months old there is not to much he can play with so it is tricky finding fillers for his stocking. But thanks to "These Boots Are Made 4 Crawling" I have a wonderful gift now to put in his stocking.

I can sometimes bribe them with pretty hair bows and stuff that go in their hair. So I was excited when I got the opportunity to work with The Hair Bow Company with my Holiday Gift Guide.

Holiday Gift Guide: Quatro Books

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

Books and more books; I love books for my children! That is also one gift that gives back because it helps my children learn the valuable skill of reading and comprehension. With having five children lots of reading occurs in our house and we have lots of books. Books are one thing that I personally think children can not have to many of. We get the kids books for Christmas every year and this is no exception! They will be getting lots of great books including some wonderful ones from Quarto Knows publishing.

Holiday Gift Guide: TreasureToons and frog

My little Bug loves to sing and dance. What better way to dance, than while singing and dancing to the word of God. Treasure Toons by Cassie Byram does just that. This DVD bundle comes with the TreasureToons DVD, the Wonderfully Made CD and Rippy the Frog. I have been asking God to help me in some way, teach my children about his love. I have a 12 year old, a 7 year old and a 2 year old so its hard to find one thing that they all can enjoy and understand. We will listen to the Wonderfully made CD in the mornings while we are rushing to catch the bus and get ready for the day.

Holiday Gift Guide: Zonderkidz Books

If you are thinking of ideas for Christmas gifts books are always a good gift. We give lots of books in our home. You can also do a Christmas advent/countdown using books. You simply wrap up 24 books and you let your children pick a new book to unwrap each day and read it together. This is a tradition that we are considering to start in our home. This year I got some help on the books for the boys thanks to ZonderKidz.

Holiday Gift Guide: ChristmasForest.com

In the Anderson household we do not start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I feel we should get through one holiday before jumping to the next. Plus I really like fall decorations and hate putting them away because that means winter is pretty much here. While I love the excitement my children have for winter I do not share that joy with them.

Holiday Gift Guide: Collage.com

I am sure by now you know that I love receiving personalized gifts as much as I love giving them. I am always looking for companies that provide unique personalized gifts. I like to find things that are unique but made with quality products. I recently got the opportunity to work with collage.com for the Holiday Gift Guide. I received their 50 x 60 Sherpa Photo Blanket to personalize and review.

Holiday Gift Guide: SoftScience

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

I have a confession to make. I hate wearing shoes always have and probably always will. If I do wear shoes you will typically find me in flip flops up until it starts snowing here in Ohio. Yes I am the crazy lady wearing flip flops in the first snow but they are the closet to no shoes I can do in public. So when I got the chance to review the new SoftScience Skiff Canvas Flip Flops I was all about that.

Holiday Gift Guide: Learning Resources

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

When looking for toys for the kids I almost always look for educational toys. I like when the kids sit down to play but are also building needed skills. Angel is a hard one to get to sit down but when she finds something she likes she will. We have several Learning Resources toys in our home and they all get used quite often. They are also some of my favorites.

Holiday Gift Guide: Sneaky Blends Cookbook

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

I am all about eating and being healthy. The only problem I really have with that is, the food I do not like is kale, broccoli, spinach which are pretty much what is good for you. I have the Sneaky Chef book which tells you how to sneak healthy ingredients into foods and the kids do not even know they are eating healthy. The kids could not tell that they were eating the healthy foods and they could not taste it so I decided to try it for myself. This book is by the same author so I knew it would be great. I received the Sneaky Blends book by Missy Chase Lapine.

Holiday Gift Guide: Creative Origami and Beyond

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

Over the past couple of years Bubba has become very interested in Origami. He and friend were doing it all the time and really enjoyed it. I really like Bubba doing it because it is a stress reliever for him that does not involve electronics. It gives him something to do with his hands and makes his brain think about problem solving to figure out the correct way to fold the paper to get the desired look.

Holiday Gift Guide: The Art of Paper Flowers

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

Do you love fresh flowers but hate how quickly they perish? I know I do and that is part of the reason why Mr. Anderson never buys them. He hates spending the money on flowers that will quickly perish. Lately he will buy me a flower or flowering bush to plant in the yard so he knows that we will get to enjoy it longer then a week.

Holiday Gift Guide: I See Me Books

Do you love to read with your children or have them read to you? I know we do a lot of reading lately in our home. Sweet Pea is just learning and Pumpkin is practicing so he can improve his skills. I am always looking for new books to add to their library as well! If you are like me and always looking for new books then i'd like to tell you about I SEE ME! Personalized children's books. They are a great addition to any child's library!

Holiday Gift Guide: NeoCell

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

Not sure about you, but I would like to keep the youthful glow as long as possibly. I had tried several different lotions from the stores but they never seem to do anything for me. When NeoCell approached me for a review I wasn't sure at first so I had my co-blogger do the review. She had a great experience so I decided that I would go ahead and give them a try as well.

2016 Holiday Gift Guide BIG BIG Giveaway

Are you ready for Christmas?? I know we are slowly starting to prepare here at the Anderson Angels household. I know that Kay at The More The Merrier is also starting to get ready and we are super excited to bring you this very BIG and EXCITING Giveaway!! All the items that have been or will be reviewed for our Holiday Gift Guide that included a giveaway are in this giant giveaway.

Holiday Gift Guide: Sound of Sleep

So a good night sleep is what again?? I can't remember what that is or when the last time was I had one. With Peanut and Angel up several times during the night it seems like we have not had a good night sleep in years. This momma is wearing thin and so is dad with such little sleep. When Angel slept in our room we always had our sleep machine playing and she seemed to sleep well. When we moved her into the big girls room she started waking all the time again. When I got the opportunity to review a  Sound of Sleep mini machine I was super excited. I put it in the girl's room and they both have been sleeping much better.

PureHope: Quest Parenting in a Sexualized Culture Group Study

If you are raising children in today's society then I am sure you are like us and worried about how sexualized our culture has become. Bubba is going to be 12 at the end of the month and I am at times lost as to how to help with be a teen in today's society. They are able to access stuff so easily now in a days that it is hard to keep them from things. We have already had to deal with some issues that a friend introduced him to last year while in school.

There are times I can not find my children when I go to check on them at night because they are surrounded by all their animals. The boys are starting to outgrow this but still have their select favorites that they keep close. Sweet Pea I would say has the most things that she takes to bed and they all typically go with her to Nana and Papas house as well. She has a hard time picking favorites and now has her sister following in her footsteps.

Holiday Gift Guide: Natural Antibiotics & Bontanical Treatments Book

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

I know a lot of people lately have been looking for ways to help treat ailments without needing prescription medicine. I know personally I am the type of person who hates taking medicine for anything. I think there are more natural (holistic) ways to take care of our bodies. There are ways to heal our bodies and minds without using prescription drugs. If you think back to the beginnings they used plants and herbs as medicine and had success. I know not every ailment can be treated without prescriptions so please consult a doctor before doing anything. You can work with your doctor or a holistic doctor  to make sure you are getting what you need.
