Holiday Gift Guide: AcuRite Weather Station

With the weather changing in Ohio it seemed like the perfect time to set up our AcuRite Weather System. I am very excited to have this weather system at the house because it measures the temperature and humidity in four separate areas. You are able to see all the reading on the display and each sensor can be labeled for it's location.

This system's sensors are able to be placed indoors and outdoors giving you a wide range of areas to be monitored. The display is able to show up to 4 areas being monitored. We set our sensors up outside, in the kitchen, master bedroom and the display which has a built in sensor in the living room.

The display allows you to choose from over 40 present names to label the sensors on the display. It also has a built-in temperature, humidity and barometric pressure gauges for sensing environmental conditions at the display's location. It has a illuminated color display with auto-dimming brightness, can display the temperatures in F or C, has a clock and calendar that automatically adjusts to daylight savings time. The display can be set on a tabletop or mounted on a wall.

The sensors measure the temperature and humidity and send the information to the display through wireless contact. They have a wireless range of being up to 330 feet away from the display. They transmit the data every 16 seconds so the information on the display is always accurate. They are durable and made with all-weather construction so they can be indoors or outdoors. Though they do recommend them not being in direct rain or sunlight as they will mess up the readings.

  1. That is so cool. I never thought about them going inside. We have had a display that came with one sensor for a long time now. It's been really nice, knowing the temperature outside and the difference between it and what's inside.
