One thing that I love to do with all my children is to read books. Not only does it help them with their reading and vocabulary skills but also gives us a special time together. This special time together also becomes lifelong memories that they will have of me and them together. Lately I have been getting more books that my older children can practice reading to their siblings. One of my newest and favorite books I got recently is "A Very Thankful Prayer" by Thomas Nelson.  Which I gave to Peanut on his first birthday.

"Every day I wake up with a happy, thankful heart." From watching the leaves fall to picking pumpkins from the patch, from sharing Thanksgiving meal with loved ones to learning how to give - there's so much to be thankful for! Join these adorable animals as they say a prayer of thanks to God, who gives us every good thing.

I really enjoyed this book and reading it with my youngest three kids. The older boys are not as much into sitting down and reading the smaller books with me. They will read them to their siblings but would rather read big kid books. The book goes through a series of thankful prayers and once again I felt like the author had followed my family around during the past fall season. A lot of the activities that happen in the book are activities that we do as a family each year.

Some of our favorite fall family activities are going pumpkin picking, apple picking and corn mazes. These are traditions that we have started and the kids look forward to doing each year. I love that this book has all them in it. This book is a great Fall focused book for the littler kids. This book would make a wonderful gift for any child!
