Personalize your Tree with Ornaments.com

One thing that I have come to love over the years as most women do is receiving personalized gifts. I personally think receiving a personalized gift shows that the person who is giving the gift was thinking of you personally and wanted to create something extra special just for you. One thing that I am really loving is personalized Christmas ornaments for my families Tree. While growing up my Grandma had a special ornament for each of her children and grandchildren on her tree. That was a special thing for us all to find our ornament on the tree.

Spread The Good News this Halloween

One thing that I love to do is share the good news of the Lords word with children. Though it seems to be harder to do anymore because the World is becoming so harsh and hostile. There are ways we can still reach the youth and children of this country. Thanks to Let The Little Children Come you can find many great resources and tools to reach the kids around you and in your community!

The Emoji Movie is Finally Here *Giveaway*

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

One thing we love to do in the Anderson Household is have movie nights with the kids. We love to make a big batch of popcorn, grab some snacks and find a seat to enjoy a fun family movie. The newest movie to our collection for our movie nights was The Emoji Movie. My kids were super excited when the movie arrived that they watched it twice in one day. The kids loved the movie and Mr. Anderson and I found it to be very cute and entertaining as well. Everyone had seemed to pick their favorite emoji as well from the movie! For me I really like Jailbreak because she reminds me of well me and the kids all really like Hi-5.

I'm Not A Scaredy-Cat Book by Max Lucado *Giveaway*

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

One of my all time favorite Christian authors is Max Lucado. I love his inspirational books but I am bigger fan of his children's books. When the opportunity arose to review Max's newest children book I'm Not a Scaredy-Cat: A Prayer for When You Wish You Were Brave I jumped at the opportunity. With having 5 kids they all seem to go through a Scaredy-Cat phase at different times. I am hoping that this book will help my younger children when they are feeling scared.

The Adventures of Doc Holliday Henngings Book

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

Every year we give the kids new books for Christmas and each kid usually gets 2 to 3 books each. I love to encourage them to read and expand their skills. It is a gift that gives back in so many ways. This year though I am thinking of doing something a little different with the kids. Instead of them getting their books for Christmas I may wrap them up and do a book advent with them and rotate which child gets the book each day.

Have your dog stylin' this Holiday Season

I love to spoil our dogs just as much as I do the kids when it comes to Christmas. It is something that has caught on with the kids as well and when they do their Christmas shopping for the family they always include our pets. I love that they feel the dogs and cats are a part of this family and deserve special things as well. This year our puppy Chewbacca is rocking a beautiful snowman collar and leash set from Country Brook Designs.

Baked Goat Cheese with Khor Vodka

I am a big fan of finding ways to recreate dishes at home from my favorite restaurants. I love when I can take them and add my own little flavor and kick to them. I am always looking for appetizers especially for when we go to adult get togethers. One of my favorite appetizers to make at home and for adult get togethers is Baked Goat Cheese in Marinara Sauce. Since my kids think anything with goat cheese is gross I am able to make this delicious dip with KHOR Vodka to give it a little kick.

Progressive Rising Phoenix Press

One thing that I really like is when my oldest boy sits down and reads a book, but it seems to be getting harder and harder to find books that he likes and I approve of. He is at the age where books are boring and video games is all he wants to do. When I got the opportunity for him to review the newest The Eldridge Conspiracy (Sir Kaye the Boy Knight) book I jumped at the opportunity. This book seemed like something that Bubba would enjoy reading.

Indulge in delicious Ice Cream flavors from Graeter's

One thing that I love to do is sit back and relax with a big bowl of ice cream in the evenings. It is one of my favorite ways to relax and unwind after a long day. I typically keep 2 to 3 different flavors of ice cream in the house at all times because with 7 people not everyone agrees on flavors. When I got the opportunity to work with Graeter's Ice Cream I was beyond excited. Not only had I already heard good things about the ice cream they are a local Ohio company as well.

Family Time Devotions with Jesus Always 365 *Giveaway*

*This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, you'll be helping to feed the little angels here at Andersons Angels.

One thing that I think is very important for my is family devotion time. Though we do not do it every night like I would like we are slowly working on it. The problem I run into is we have such a age range that it is hard to find something that will fit for all the kids. Since Bubba is 12 he can understand the stories in more depth where Angel is only 3 and needs the story in a simple easy form to understand. I recently received the Jesus Always: 365 Devotions for Kids and have been very pleased with this devotion.

One thing that I always seem to be on the hunt for is yummy snacks to send in the kids lunches. With having three kids currently in school I seem to pack a lot of lunches throughout the year. Each child has their own taste in food so no lunch is typically the same. This can be challenging sometimes but at least they all agree on snacks and one of their favorites is Welch's fruit snacks. When Welch's asked me if I would like for the kids to try their New Fruit Rolls snacks I was happy to do so.

With the Holidays quickly approaching it has me starting to think about the get togethers and the food that will be served.  Anyone that knows me knows that I love to be a hostess and entertain people. My mother in law says that one of my "gifts" is hosting/entertaining people. When it comes to my parties rarely will you see store bought pre-made food on the tables. I love to cook and create delicious foods to share with my family and friends. This year Giusto Sapore will be helping me creating those delicious foods to be served.

St. Martin's Press

One thing that I always seem to be looking for is time. With having 5 children it seems like I just do not have enough time in the day to get to everything. Because I can not get everything done that I need or what to I become stressed and unhappy. I have discovered that a major factor in my stress and unhappiness is that I never make me time. Whether you are a mom to 5 children or single you still need me to relax and reflect on things going on in your life. I recently received Life by Design: 52 Lists, Questions, and Inspirations for Finding Your Happiness to read.

A Taste of Fall with Apple Pie Muffins

One thing that I love about fall is Apples! I love apple cider and taking the kids to pick apples so we can make delicious treats at home. Recently my mother in law gave me a big batch of apples from their apple trees so I decided to make some yummy Apple Pie Muffins to have for a quick and easy breakfast on the run. These muffins are very easy to make and the recipe yields 1 dozen muffins.

What You Need:
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 large apple, peeled and chopped

What You Do:
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease your cupcake liners
Mix brown sugar and apple pie spice together in a bowl and set aside. In a mixer or large bowl, combine the sugar and softened butter until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and continue mixing until combined. Add the flour, baking powder and milk.

Fill your cupcake liners about 1/4 full. Then add some of the apples and brown sugar mixture. Top with remaining batter, apples and brown sugar mixture.

Bake for 30-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle of the muffins comes out clean.
