Easy Way To Help Fight Breast Cancer

BeautyMint has a very exciting campaign going on that I'd like to tell you about. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BeautyMint will donate $1 for every BeautyMint registration to the National Breast Cancer Foundation starting October 20th through our October 31st. How easy is that? I know not everyone has the means to donate especially with how the economy is but here is a great way you can help without having to ask for donations or give out of your pocket if funds are tight. All you have to do is registered at BeautyMint.com and they will donate a dollar to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Activate Water Review

I am not one who is big on taking vitamins or even drinking water. I have always wanted some kind of flavor in whatever it is that I am drinking. Lately I have been drinking more water but I have to have lemon in it once again I need flavor. Well let me introduce you to a new kind of water that has recently came out Activate Water. Did you know that vitamins and other healthy ingredients lose potency sitting in water? Activate water has found a way to stop drowning the vitamins in drinks. By storing the active ingredients inside their unique, patented cap, separate from the water, ACTIVATE’s vitamins stay fresh, potent and offer a convenient way to get a healthy dose of the nutrients your body needs.

I was hesitant at first to try this water since one I'm not a big fan of water and two I didn't understand how you could keep the vitamins in the cap. Well I was pleasantly surprised. The water looks almost like juice after you release the vitamins into it. I really enjoyed it and I loved the fruit punch flavor I'd have to say its my favorite.

I'd like to tell you about this great idea that Activate had and tried out. So here is a question for you. Would you pedal an exercise bike for a thirty seconds if it meant you would get a drink for free? Well Activate decided to try just that... Passersby's pedaled an exercise bike attached to the vending machine for thirty seconds to release a free bottle of ACTIVATE. 1,250 bottles were distributed, the retail value of which will donated to Nourish America in support of nutrition for pregnant women. The final donation amount totaled $2,240.

Love & Hate....What to do??

Let's go back to June 1984; I was a month old and my mom and her parents left Ohio with my crib tied to the top of the car and headed to Florida. In 1986 my mom lost custody of me due to some bad choices of her boyfriend and my grandmother gained custody. So from that point my grandmother raised me and my mother was forced out of the picture. I got to see her on occasions thanks to my one Aunt who took me on the weekends. Growing up was different for sure I knew my mom but didn't understand why she wasn't with me. Around 1988/1989 my mom moved back to Ohio and had my brother in June 1990. I never saw either of them until my grandfather passed away in April 1993. Nor did I know that they were living in Florida.

After my grandfather passed away my grandmother decided she wanted to go back to Ohio to be with her kids and she promised my grandfather on his death bed that she would come back. Well that ment I had to move with her. So after I finished my third grade year at Prine Elementary we packed and headed to Canton, Ohio. I did not understand that I would never see my friends or the beach again.

Being pulled away from everything I knew and my friends did a real number on me. Though I was only entering the fourth grade I started battling depression  and it was something that I ended up dealing with secretly until I was married and pregnant with my third child. Not only did I deal with depression but eating disorders as well. Stuff that my grandmother and family should have noticed but never did or if they did they just didn't care. A few of my Aunts were jealous of me because I got everything I wanted and got to do whatever I pleased to a degree; but they couldn't grasp the concept that my grandmother only had me and when they were growing up there was 12 of them.

Now I have been living in Canton, Oh for almost 20 years wow its really been almost 20 years since I stepped foot on those beautiful white sand beaches. Instead I've been stepping on white snow something that I have grown to hate. I dislike being cold and having to wear layers and layers of clothing and hope to be warm. Bubba loves the snow, Pumpkin loves the beach, Jake likes the sight of snow but that's about it. We both hate driving in it because it seems like the people around here go stupid while driving when it snows.

So when once the weather starts turning cold in Ohio I can hardly walk and move because I have a bad back, and the cold weather agitates it. So Jake and I have been talking lately about moving south possibly Florida in a few years. Which means leaving our family and friends. I know that my mom will go back to Florida since she still has a house there anyways, but Jake's parents have already said they won't move to Florida. But have talked about possibly going to the Carolina's.

So we have decided that this summer we are going to Bradenton, Fl for a week and take the kids. Maybe getting to go back for awhile will help me get over the wanting and needing it so bad. I am also hoping that it will help Jake and I decide on whether it will be a move we'd want to make in a few years or not. I love all our friends & family we have here dearly; but sometimes you need to do what is best for your family and unfortunately Ohio is a dying state there are no jobs and nothing to look forward too.

Chicken Joe & The Jimmies CD's Review and Giveaway

Do you ever forget something really important? Well Chicken Joe has and he can't remember what it is; nor can he figure out why all his friends are acting so strange. In this wonderful CD you also get a great story. The Chicken Joe CD starts off with the story of Chicken Joe, then follows with great music that goes along with the story. This is a crazy mixed up CD with lots of toe tapping, hand clapping I wanna get up and go crazy dancing music for the little ones.

The boys and I enjoyed listening to this CD on our trips to the fair. It was fun to listen to all the animals and their crazy music. The boys enjoyed all the silliness that comes along with this CD. This is a great family fun CD. It is hard to pick a favorite song on this CD but one would have to be "Hello, My Chicken Thinks He's a Dog".

Practically Ridiculous is about right when it comes to the music of The Jimmies. Their silly songs will have you singing along as well as wanting to dance in your seat. The Jimmies are typically described as being "bubblegum meets indie" If you are looking for fun music to have with your kids and not worry about what their gonna hear then you should check out The Jimmies.

Made With Love Event: My2lilpixies Sponsor Spotlight

Do you love dressing your daughter up and putting beautiful bows in her hair? Do you have a bow for every season, outfit and sporting event you may go to? Then you have to check out "My2lilpixies" Etsy shop not only are there hair accessories beautiful but Handmade!!! I know that I love putting beautiful hair bows and flowers in Sweet Pea's hair well what little bit she has so there normally on a headband; but I always get so many compliments on them.

I was super excited when Melinda agreed to let me review a item from her wonderful shop. While looking around her shop I feel in with her "Minnie Bloomer Set". Pumpkin is the biggest Mickey Mouse fan there is so being able to dress Sweet Pea up as Minnie I couldn't resist. Oh and I must say she makes the cutest Minnie ever...

I was so happy with this set when it came! The bloomers are made from washable satin which is awesome for little ones. The black satin bloomers have 3 layers of red and white polka dot satin ruffles and the edges of the ruffles are serged with black thread. Which makes the bloomers compliment the satin hair bow.

So with the Holidays approaching you know you'll need to find that perfect hair accessory to go along with your darling's outfit. Make sure you visit "My2lilpixies" first because I'm sure you will find something to match what your looking for as well as fall in love with all there items just like I have.

Made With Love Event: All Dressed Up Sponsor Spotlight

Do you ever just browse around facebook and Etsy shops looking at all the beautiful items people make? I know I do all the time especially looking for things for Sweet Pea. Well while doing this I came across a wonderful shop on Etsy called "All Dressed Up Couture". Oh and I must say Denise makes some of the cutest dresses for little girls that I have seen. I was so excited when Denise agreed to let me review one of her dresses as well as give one away. Denise is a SAHM of two teenagers and enjoys creating beautiful items to sell.

I received her "Pumpkin Dress" to review with Sweet Pea. When I got the dress and took it out of the packaging I was instantly in love and wanted to put it on Sweet Pea but she was napping so it had to wait. I loved how bright and vibrant the colors were of the tulle. Denise also pays close attention to detail and you can tell this by how the colors of the tulle used matches the flowers used.

I am also a fan of Denise's dresses because as Sweet Pea gets older this dress can be used as a tutu as well. So she will get to wear it and play dress up in it for years to come. I'd say thats a great investment and well worth the money. We have a wedding coming up in a few years that Sweet Pea will be the flower girl and the soon to be bride has already said that she wants Denise to make Sweet Peas flower girl dress. I also know that I will be buying Sweet Pea another dress from "All Dreesed Up Couture" as a Christmas gift because I am in LOVE with her Snow White Dress.

For now leave a comment below telling me something you would love to have from "All Dressed Up" - when the giveaway starts this will count as an extra entry.  You will simply have to click “I DID THIS!” beside “Comment on All Dressed Up Spotlight Post” on the entry form.

Wham-O Review

When I hear the company name Wham-O it takes me back to my childhood and spending quality time playing outside. My favorite thing growing up was my Slip'N Slide and finding new ways for my cousins and I to play with it. Now it seems like you have to literally pull teeth to get kids outside to play. Not only that you can't just let them outside to play by themselves without having to worry. Things have changed so much over the years it scary sometimes. I am lucky to have wonderful neighbors that my kids can just run through the yards and play and we all watch over the kids so if someone needs to do something inside the kids can still play outside. Its a nice peace of mind to have.

I am lucky in so many ways; yes I have wonderful neighbors who help watch the kids when their out playing. But we also have a 15 acre park in our backyard for us to utilize. So we can go over and fly kites and play games with our children. My kids love to be outside and at times its like pulling teeth to get them away from the computer or TV. I am always looking for great products that will make my boys wanna be outside and playing and Wham-O has allowed me to review one.

I received Wham-O's Frisbee Disc game to review with my boys. At first I thought that it was going to be hard to play, but it wasn't at all. Bubba and Pumpkin figured out how to play it very quickly and were having a blast playing. Wasn't to long that we had the neighbor kids over wanting to play as well and we spent the evening out in the front yard playing Frisbee Disc. The game states that it is for Ages 5+ but Pumpkin is 4 and was able to play and understand everything easily.

The Frisbee toss rackets were super easy to put together just line up the two pieces and snap them together and your ready to play. The game comes with two rackets and three Frisbee disc to play with. This would make a great gift for family or friends. I know that this is one game that will be going with us on family vacations to the beach because it is super fun and easy for the kids and can be packed away easily without taking up a lot of space.

Visit them today on facebook and twitter1 (twitter2) to keep up on all the happenings at Wham-O!!

Go Green Giveaway Event: Monkey Toe Diapers Spotlight

The next awesome sponsor to my wonderful “Go Green Giveaway Event:  Fluff for Mom and The Wee One” that i’d like to introduce you to is Monkey Toe Diapers.  I must say that I absolutely love this WAHM's diapers!

Monkey Toe Diapers has a ton of wonderful cloth diapers to choose from. Susan has been with her hubby for 10 years and has a son who is now 5. Her inspiration for sewing cloth diapers actually came from her husband. Susan loves to sew quilts and he said "why not sew cloth diapers for their son."

Monkey Toe diapers are a pocket diaper and AI2's. Their pocket dipes have a unique welt-style pocket opening that makes it easy to stuff, and even easier to shake wet inserts right onto the diaper pail! Because we all know how much we dislike grabbing that soaked insert. I loved how soft there diapers are and how well they hold in leaks. These are great diapers for night time or if you just have a heavy wetter!!

I love even though Sweet Pea is very thin compared to most babies the legs on the diapers do not gap. I also like that I do not have to make the diaper super tight around her belly to make the leg holes small enough to fit her. I dislike having to have a diaper super tight on her belly to make sure she doesn't pee out the legs. These diapers are made very well to fit all the different sizes and shapes babies come in.

For now leave a comment below telling me something you learned/love about these diapers or about Monkey Toes Diapers – when the giveaway starts this will count as an extra entry.  You will simply have to click “I DID THIS!” beside “Comment on Monkey Toe Diapers Spotlight Post” on the entry form.

Go Green Giveaway Event: Dippee Dypees Spotlight

The first sponsor to my wonderful “Go Green Giveaway Event:  Fluff for Mom and The Wee One” that i’d like to introduce you to is Dippee Dypees.  I must say that I absolutely love this WAHM!

Dippee Dypees has a ton of wonderful cloth products that Renee offers. She currently makes Pre-Folds, Fitteds, Covers, AIO'S, AI2'S, Breast Pads and Custom Diapers. I currently own 5 diapers and a set of breast pads from Dippee Dypees.

Dippee Dypees diapers are made with 2 layers of bamboo french terry, an extra layer of bamboo french terry is added to the center soaker zone. This is made with wings on the top that wrap around your little one for great secure fit. I love how soft they are compared to other fabrics that most diapers are made of. They wings on them are also big enough that I do not use a snappi with mine; I just wrap them around Sweet Peas waist and put a cover on her and they stay in place nicely.

Dippee Dypees breast pads are awesome bamboo breast pads. They are superDippee Dypees breast pads they absorb everything and are so soft against my skin. My cotton breast pads are rough and itchy and I hate wearing them!

Prices
 Breast Pads $3.00 a piece or 12 for $17.00.

Diapers:
itty is $6.00

 Regular is $10.00
Highrise is $12.00
