From the time a little girl watches Cinderella she starts planning her fairytale wedding. What her dress will look like, her flowers, what she thinks her prince charming will look like down to all the little setails. I have been happily married for 7 1/2 years now but looking back there are things I would love to have changed about my special day.
For starters I would have changed my wedding venue. We had a traditional church wedding because it was what my in-laws wanted for their son. I would have preferred a nice outdoor cermony, but I love being outdoors so it would have fit my personality. We also got married at the end of July so a outdoor wedding would have been perfect and beautiful. I would highly recommend you visit this site for a substantial list of wedding venues.
Since we did have a church wedding that affected the colors I used for my bridesmaids and flowers. Yes I know it shouldn't have but for me it did. We ended up going with Black, White and used Red as an accent color. It was very pretty but I would have loved some purple and yellow mixed in.
I keep telling Jake that I would love to do our wedding over but he is not big on the idea because that costs money. So I think we may renew our vows for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Guess I will have to wait and see if it happens. But one thing is for sure whether I got the wedding of my dreams or not I did get my Prince Charming.

I had a church wedding as well - I loved the idea of a church wedding but...that limited me to what kind of dresses we could have. my dress had to have some type of sleeves (to cover my shoulders) and the girls all wore their shawls to cover theirs.
ReplyDeleteI love the pic of you two! Gorgeous Bouquet!!!
