vTech Cora the Smart Cub Review & Giveaway


Recently Sweet Pea and I were given the opportunity to review vtech's new Cora the Smart Cub. Sweet Pea has tons of toys and she typically only plays with her doll babies. She has not showed to much interest in toys that talk to her. But that changed when Cora the Smart Cub arrived. She has really enjoyed playing and interacting with Cora.


Cora the Smart Cub is an great interactive toy that introduces children ages (6 to 36 months) to valuable everyday skills, like first words and emotions. Cora knows exactly what time of day it is and even makes herself custom with your child's daily routine. She knows when to say good morning, good night, and will even share special messages with your child on their birthday and on holidays. Cora the Smart Cub comes with built-in phrases and responses, but thanks to her download feature, she can also share over 20 stories featuring your child's name and other fun messages and sounds.


Since Sweet Pea will be 3 in February she is very vocal and is able to interact well with Cora. When Cora arrived I instantly looked over the box and placed the required 2AA batteries inside and started exploring her built-in features. Cora's on/off button is on her ear and there are also specialized buttons on her hands and feet. If you press her right foot, the bedtime music comes on and if you press her left foot, she giggles and ask questions and plays music. Her hands are also devoted to special requests "Can you find my foot?" and celebrations. If a question is answered correctly, she offers praise to your child. Cora also has a heart that can be pressed and it lights up as she talks. Parents can share in the developmental journey online through VTech’s app store, the Learning Lodg, and personalize the smart cub with their child’s name, favorite stories and more.

Sweet Pea really likes her Cora the Smart Cub. She loves doing what is requested of her by Cora and gets excited when she gets it right. Cora the Smart Cub from VTech would make a terrific gift for the upcoming holiday season and the price can't be beat ($19.99)...
