#TheStorkOTC and Giveaway

New Clinical Study Demonstrates Stork OTC Home Conception Kit is More Effective At Delivering Sperm to The Cervix Than Natural Intercourse When Trying to Get Pregnant.  The Stork OTC is a promising option for women and couples having trouble getting pregnant--a safe, and easy-to-use way to optimize chances for conception, at home.

The first and only conception assistance device to meet the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s strict requirements and be cleared for over-the-counter sales, without a prescription, The Stork OTC is the product of years of meticulous design and testing.

When Mr A. and I were trying to conceive it seemed like nothing would work. We tracked my ovulation and tested his sperm count and everything was "working" but we were not getting pregnant. I truly feel that had we had the The Stork OTC kit we would have been able to conceive quicker and easier.

Effectiveness over Natural Intercourse

New clinical study demonstrates The Stork OTC home conception kit is more effective at delivering a higher concentration of sperm to the cervix than natural intercourse when trying to get pregnant. The peer-reviewed, post-coital sperm assessment study was performed over a ten-month period by study author Dr. Michael J. Pelekanos, and is published in the Surgical Technology International, Issue XXVII. The Stork OTC, the only FDA cleared, over-the-counter home conception kit using cervical cap insemination, is clinically shown to deliver a higher concentration of sperm directly to the cervix compared to natural intercourse.

The results:
  • In 85% of participants, the Stork OTC delivered a 3.23x higher value of sperm concentration at the cervix compared to the value of sperm concentration with natural intercourse.
  •  The remaining 15% of participants saw no change in sperm concentration between The Stork OTC use and the natural intercourse method.

The study was an efficacy study designed to compare the number of sperm in the cervical mucus both with the use of the Stork OTC conception kit and natural intercourse. Post-coital test data was collected after participants used both methods to evaluate concentrations of sperm in the cervical mucus.

Effectiveness of Cervical Cap Insemination

The Stork OTC updates an established technique, cervical cap insemination (CCI), which has a proven success rate of 10-20% (by comparison, IUI has a success rate of approximately 10-20%. CCI has been available by prescription, in clinical settings, for decades, but until now had never been adapted and FDA-cleared for home use, without a prescription.

The FDA cleared The Stork OTC for help with common fertility difficulties such as:
  •  Motility issues with sperm
  • Diminished sperm count (low sperm count)
  •  Unfavorable vaginal environment
  •  Unexplained infertility

Safety and Ease-of-Use

The Stork OTC is a unique device specifically created for home use. Its innovative design includes a modified cervical cap and a sleek plastic applicator, which makes it safe and easy to collect the sperm during intercourse and then place the cervical cap. Semen collection is similar to using a condom, and insertion and removal of the cervical cap are similar to using a tampon. The Stork OTC can be used with donor sperm, supporting pathways to parenthood for all couples.

  2. We have been trying for a year, but I am 35 and my husband a bit older than me. That is why this year felt almost like a decade. It is frustrating, but we will be patient. However, we are open to try products that may help such as the Stork, so thank you for the opportunity.
