I am a big fan of coffee! Maybe its because I have to get up so early, deal with kids and schedules, all before going to work. So when I had the chance to review coffee, I was excited. I'm always willing to try new coffees, especially flavored coffee. The newest coffee I have tried is the Community Coffee from New Orleans. Community coffee has been around since 1919 and four generations later, they are still making it today. They have perfected it to different flavors. They sell the coffee as ground and whole bean. They adhere to the standards of the Specialty coffee Association of America (SCAA). Their premium coffee uses the highest quality Arabica coffee beans. Community Coffee makes different flavors, strengths (extra dark, dark, medium dark, dark), instant, decaffeinated, single serve, K-Cups and tea.
I received the 12 oz house blend and the 12 oz french vanilla to review, like I said, I'm a fan of flavored coffee. I made it with the usual amount of ground coffee I usually use and I think it made it stronger than other brands. I made it with less the next time which made it perfect, making me realize that this 12 oz bag is going to last longer than most. I usually make a cup of coffee for my carpooling buddy and he even commented that the coffee was better than whet I usually buy (I didn't tell him that I switched it up). I liked the french vanilla flavor because as it was brewing, it made the kitchen smell of vanilla. I typically flavor my coffee with cream and sugar and my carpool buddy does not. We were both able to drink it black because it had such a great flavor.
One of the things that I found out about Community coffee, is that they Give Back a lot. They have a program that with every purchase of Community Coffee, they give back to your school. Over the past 25 years, they have given over $8 million for textbooks, computers, playground equipment and more. They also have a Military Match Program. The Military Match Program doubles the customers order when 4 bags or boxes are purchased online, whether its ground or K-Cup, and sends the other extra coffee to our troops stationed abroad for free. So far, they have shipped over 4.2 million cups of coffee overseas so they can enjoy a cup of Community Coffee and remind them of home while they are away.
I enjoyed the Community coffee and was disappointed when I ran out. I went to the store to see if I could find it and, I was excited to see that no matter what grocery store I went to, I was able to find it. This will make the perfect gift for your coffee lover and also a great way to give back to the Community. Visit their website and browse all their coffee flavors and find out how to give back and enjoy your cup of community coffee today.
