Pregnancy Journal: Week 30

I have been so busy lately that I keep forgetting to post my pregnancy journal updates... 

How Far Along -  

30 Weeks Pregnant (30 weeks 5 days) 

Due Date - 

September 8th, 2016 (hoping to schedule the c-section this week)

Boy or Girl - 

Unknown - this is a surprise baby :-)

Baby Development - 
A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds baby, but that volume will shrink as baby gets bigger and takes up more room in the uterus. Baby's eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after baby is born, it'll keep it's eyes closed for a good portion of the day. When baby does open them, it'll respond to changes in light but will only have 20/400 vision - which means it can only make out objects a few inches away from it's face.

  

Symptoms -  

I am still dealing with a lot of pain in my lower vaginal area and pain on my scar from my previous c-sections. 

Current Cravings -  

Cucumbers and onions soaked in vinegar. 

Currently Avoiding - 

I am avoiding most sugars and carbs since I got gestational diabetes with this pregnancy. 

Belly Button Status -  

It's out.

Movement -  

Baby is moving a lot now and is very active! 

Any Appointments? -  

I go for a tummy check and sugar check on Thursday and am hoping the schedule is up so we can schedule this little ones arrival.
