One thing it seems every little girl loves to do is play dress up. Whether they are dressing up as Princesses or Superheros they love to play dress up. My girls are no exceptions they are always pretending to be something other then themselves. Sometimes they Superheros saving the day and other times they are the Princess bringing joy to everyone around them. The girls recently got the opportunity to review some beautiful dress up dresses from Little Adventures.

One thing that I really enjoy doing is cooking for my family. I absolutely love being in the kitchen and making delicious food for my family. Lately I have been trying to cook healthier for my family and taking my normal recipes and finding ways to make them healthier. I recently got the opportunity to review the book Secrets of Skinny Cooking with my family. This book contains mouthwatering recipes you will not believe are low calorie!

Official Chick Fil A Mom Panel Member for 2017-18

The one fast-food restaurant my family and I pride ourselves on frequenting, is Chick-Fil-A! I'm pretty sure I'd go every day if it were a bit closer, but the closest one is about 15 minutes away. I know that's not that far to some. Chick-Fil-A has been my go to fast-food place since I discovered them in college and fell more in love with them when we lived in GA for a short time!

I love that Chick-Fil-A is and always has been about great customer service and quality food with healthy options. They are clean, feel safe, uphold a strong belief system, promote positive values, provides healthy options for kids and adults, supports local schools and missions.

One thing that I love to do with all my children is to read books. Not only does it help them with their reading and vocabulary skills but also gives us a special time together. This special time together also becomes lifelong memories that they will have of me and them together. Lately I have been getting more books that my older children can practice reading to their siblings. One of my newest and favorite books I got recently is "A Very Thankful Prayer" by Thomas Nelson.  Which I gave to Peanut on his first birthday. 

Messy Learning with Oscar

Learning can be done in so many different ways but typically we try to teach our children in the cleanest ways possible. I worked at a daycare for just shy of 5 years and I can tell you that kids learn really well when getting messy. The kids use to love when we would practice writing our letters in shaving cream. Oscar the Grouch does not like learning in a clean manner he wants to get dirty and messy while learning. Now he has got his Sesame Street friends together to teach your child their ABCs by splashing and crashing their way through the alphabet together in Sesame Street: The Messy Alphabet Book.

With schools back in session and fall sports in full swing it is time to think about what you are going to be putting in your kids lunch boxes and backpacks. I know things are in full swing here at the Anderson Household with school, flag cheerleading and AWANAS. Which means I need to think about packing lunches and what drinks are going with us to Cheer practice. I was recently sent some Fruit Shoots to try out with the kids. 

Bonefish Grill for a Awesome Date Night

Mr. Anderson and I got to have a wonderful date night on Friday thanks to Canton, Ohio Bonefish Grill! We love when we get a chance to have a date night. With having 5 kids we definitely need a night out here and there to regroup and be able to talk. I really think it is good for a marriage when couples can still get out once in awhile for a date night. Mr. Anderson and I have our favorite go-to restaurants when it comes to date nights and Bonefish Grill is on the top of the list.

One thing that I love is fashionable items for my kids. I am not talking about just clothes but accessories as well. As a parent we are always buying "cute" baby clothes and shoes but are typically left with "boring" teethers for our babies. Where were you?

Where were you on 9/11/01? 

I was sitting in Computer Technology as a Senior in High School. I sat there watching the TV as the second plane it the tower. I sat there in disbelief that this was happening in my country. In my mind we were the U.S. and untouchable. That day I got a rude awakening that our country was not invincible. I felt scared as I watched our country being attacked and proud of the individuals on flight 93 that kept that flight from making its intended destination. 

Family and Friends affected by Hurricanes

With all the recent Hurricanes it really makes you thankful for your family and friends. I have had family and friends affected by both the recent hurricanes! The after math is whats hard to see and watch. Though some only had minor damage to their property others are dealing with oil spills and a big mess to clean up. Through each storm I prayed that the Lord would keep a protective hedge around all in the paths of the storms. 

My mom lives in Florida and decided to ride out the storm at home as did all my family that is in Fl. Bubba my oldest was literally sick to his stomach with nerves worrying about his Grandma. We downloaded a special app on our phones so we could communicate easily without having to make a phone call. The kids really liked that they were able to check up on Grandma during the storm.
