Portrait Innovations is excited to offer parents with children dressed in costumes free portraits during its Halloween event! The event takes place at all Portrait Innovations studios Monday, Oct 30. Photo opportunities run from 3 to 7 pm, and parents will receive two free 5x7 portraits and the digital images of each child dressed in costume.

Following the free event, parents can submit their children's portrait as part of a fun Portrait Innovations photo contest to win one of three $1,000 cash prizes. To enter, participants should submit their Portrait Innovations Halloween portrait, and then encourage friends and family to vote for it. The 20 portraits with the most votes will be judged by Portrait Innovations for costume originality and three families will be named winners.

With Halloween and Christmas both right around the corner it is a great time to start thinking about updating your family portraits for Christmas cards! With how quickly the kids grow and change it is nice to know that there are photo studios around where you can take your kids to capture them in the age they are now. I know that my kids are all quickly growing up on me and it makes me sad to know that soon they will all be grown and on to different things. So I love having pictures of them and the fun stuff they are doing now like dressing up for Halloween.

The day before our scheduled session someone from the studio called me to confirm the appointment and to let me know that we were free to bring change of clothes and any props from home that we wanted to incorporate into our photos. We took the youngest three kids Halloween costumes to do some fun photos with. Portrait Innovation has a dressing room available which makes changing clothes with little ones much easier!

I really liked the laid back feeling while at the studio and that they have legos available for the kids to play with while waiting. The photographer did not just rush through getting the pictures done. He took his time and interacted with us and the kids. Angel who is a very active 3 year old made things a bit crazy at times but he just went with the flow including holding her at times because it is what she wanted. She is not a shy girl and if she likes you then she takes to you and she did just that with our photographer. I liked that they took pictures of the whole family, kids, boys only, girls only, mom and dad as well as individual photos. The best feature of Portrait Innovations is that your pictures are ready same day so no waiting on them to come in!

When was the last time you had family portraits done? If you are looking to get your pictures done for upcoming Christmas cards or gifts I would highly recommend going to Portrait Innovations and you can easily schedule your appointment online or call them to set up your session.

I am excited to be able to also GIVEAWAY a wonderful photo package from Portrait Innovation to one lucky winner!
