A Honey Pot even Pooh would Love

Image result for emerson creek pottery

One thing that I love to do for the Holiday's is bake. I bake for my children, family and friends and everyone seems to have a different thing I make that is their favorite. So when the Holiday's come around I usually spend days on end in the kitchen making everyone's favorites. But as long as everyone leaves happy because they got their favorites is all the thanks I need. I love to see everyone happy and enjoying their favorite baked treats.

25 Kitchen Tips and Tricks

So I am always finding new little tricks to help me in the kitchen and I wanted to share some with you. I have a list of 25 Kitchen Tips for you below. If you try and any let me know how they work for you or if you have a tip feel free to leave it in a comment.

Taco Night - Make your own crunchy taco shells without frying. If your corn or flour tortillas are stiff, heat them quickly on a hot griddle, then lightly spray both sides with cooking oil. Drape tortillas over two clean bars of an oven rack and bake at 375*F until crisp, about 10 minutes.

Cheese Plate - The perfect cheese plate is all about balance. Choose cow, sheep, and goat varieties from distinct categories - creamy, crumbly, funky, fresh. Serve with something pickled, salty (olives), crunchy (nuts), and sweet (fruit). Good bread and crisp crackers are the finishing touches.

Cool Down - An ice pack is handy for everything from a black eye to a box lunch. An inexpensive, simple alternative is to soak a basic kitchen sponge in water and freeze it in a small ziplock bag. As the water melts, it is reabsorbed by the sponge, which stays sealed inside.

Tips for Avoiding Investment Fraud

Tips for Avoiding Investment Fraud

Raising a family isn’t easy on your bank account. No matter if your child is in diapers, just starting preschool or about to head off for college, you might find yourself feeling stretched financially, which can make you more than a bit nervous about your financial future. While an insurance agency can help you maintain your financial health, investing can help you improve your financial health. That being said, you’ve got to be careful about how you invest and whom you invest with as well.

One thing that my boys and their dad love is hot and spicy food. I on the other hand try to avoid it because it bothers my stomach something fierce. So when cooking dinners I try to sometimes accommodate their love for hot and spicy foods. The other night while making fried chicken I cooked up some buffalo chicken wings for Mr. Anderson. I used Moore's Original Buffalo Wing Sauce on the wings and they were a hit!

Bridgeway Academy Ready To Aid Orphaned Students From Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) Closure

Homeschooling Programs and Curriculum – Bridgeway Academy

Bridgeway Academy, which pioneered personalized learning in homeschools and schools across the U.S. and around the world, today announced it is ready to accept students seeking an alternative to the closing Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) school. Bridgeway’s proven online and textbook homeschool solutions are a natural fit for ECOT students who are already accustomed to flexible schedules, live online sessions and individualized self-paced learning. Many ECOT students chose the online charter school due to illnesses, social concerns, learning disabilities or other struggles. As a result, returning to their previous classroom setting is not an option. Therefore, the transition to Bridgeway Academy is appealing.

“This is an unfortunate nightmare for our family. Brick and mortar schools do not work for us and the other online options are already overwhelmed. They’re saying the availability will be ‘first come, first served’ and it’s very stressful for students like mine who simply cannot attend a regular classroom,” says ECOT parent Jennifer Ladoszka.

Make Your Own Healthy Yummy Gummies!

One thing my kids love is gummies! Though I am not a fan of all the added sugar and dyes I usually do some label reading before buying any. I was recently sent this great recipe from kidstir to make my own gummies and can not wait to make some with the kids. I wanted to share the recipe with all of you so you can make your own gummies as well.

What You Need:

1 cup juice per flavor (carrot/orange and cranberry/raspberry)
~ you can use any juice you'd like
2 envelops unflavored gelatin (1 pack per flavor of juice)

What You Do:
  1. Measure 1 cup of juice. Pour 2/3 of the cup into the cooking pot. Leave 1/3 cup in the measuring cup and sprinkle it with the unflavored gelatin and let it sit.
  2. Heat the juice until it starts to boil. Carefully pour the hot juice over the gelatin.
  3. Stir for about 5 minutes, or until gelatin dissolves.
  4. Pour it into candy molds and or ice cube trays (pour over the sink in case of spills).
  5. Refrigerate until the gummies set, about 5 hours. Run the molds under hot water and slip out the shapes. Eat right away or cover and store in the fridge for up to a week.
Makes about 4 servings (makes 12 to 60 gummies, depending on the size of your molds or ice cube trays)

If you try this recipe tag me in a Instagram photo of your gummies using hashtag #AndersonsAngels or feel free to share about them below!!

One thing that I deal with is severe back pain due to having pars defect. In the winter the pain can get to be just down right unbearable at times. I have noticed that when my back pain flares up it affects my body in many ways. I recently received a Naipo Shiatsu Neck Shoulder Massager to review. I love the idea of having a heat massager at home because I know that the heat helps my back relax and the pain eases up. I was excited to receive this massager as I know that Mr. Anderson will benefit from using it as well.

Image result for goodbye 2017

As we bid a farewell to 2017 and say a BIG HELLO to 2018 I have to say that I am excited to see what the year holds for my family! I know that it holds new arrivals for 2 of the writers here at Andersons Angels as both my writers are expecting little ones come April. I can not wait to see what will happen with our family as Mr. Anderson has taken a new job and will now be home more with the family. :-) We are all excited about that for sure. 2017 held some great adventures for the Anderson family with some wonderful memories made.
