Castaway Bay: Review/Giveaway

What is Ohio known for?! Two words come to mind.... CEDAR POINT. Not only does Cedar Fair have an amazing amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio, they also have a indoor water park called Castaway Bay.

We took a overnight stay in one of their Starfish rooms. With a walk out screened in balcony overlooking a pond. Great to watch the sunset with your little's. The room was clean and plenty big enough for me, my husband, and our 2 year old son. The complimentary toiletries in the bathroom are Bath and Body Works and smelled amazing which was an added perk!

We first went exploring and went to the arcade where of course I have to try every claw machine game to win something for my son. (honestly... its not like I enjoy doing those at all....) Anyone who knows me knows I am the biggest claw machine nerd there is... and yes for those wondering I won my son a yoshi. (giggles) Next we went visited the kids club to color our own t shirt and pick out a craft we could do there or take home. We also colored a few coloring pages. This club has a ton to do on the schedule. During our stay you could wear your pjs and watch a movie before bed! How much fun is this for your little's.

After we left there we got on our swimsuits and went into the water park to see what there was. Wave pool to your left, kiddie area in front, basketball pool to your right and in the back was the spa, slides, and water coaster. Yes and water coaster... you sit in a tube and hold on tight to enjoy the ride. We  unfortunately didn't ride this since our son was too little. We did the wave pool, kiddie area with small slides, and also had fun below the big bucket that tips over every few minutes! Let me tell you that is a ton of water that crashes down so be ready!! The spa was our favorite part. In this grotto type atmosphere with a swim through area to the outside enjoy the bubbles and hot tub spa outside. During our stay it was a bit chilly so it felt amazing. We were shocked how well our son and all the other kiddos were loving the warmth.

Dinner time... We ate at the Quaker Steak and Lube on property. They also had a couple other choice to eat at as well... one place was right when you went into water park, I don't know about you but swimming has always made me so hungry.

If your looking for a weekend getaway or even a place to stay while visiting Cedar Point this is your place. This indoor water park was not as busy as other indoor water parks we have visited.  Make sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win your very own trip to Castaway Bay!!
