If you have a cat then you know how much of a mess doing cat litter can be. I never used to do the cat litter in our house only Jake and Bubba did it. We tried the automatic self cleaning litter box and Diego hated it and refused to use it. So we went back to a normal litter box and Diego and was very happy once again. Everytime Bubba tried to do cat litter we would end with a big mess on the floor from him trying to get the waste into a bag for disposal. That problem is now a thing of the past for our household thanks to the Neater Scooper.

Do you worry about your child's bath water not being the correct temperature for their delicate skin and bodies? I know that I worry about the water temperature when giving Angel a bath because all my kids like different water temps. Bubba likes his bath water on the hotter side, Pumpkin likes his on the cooler side and Sweet Pea and Angel like theirs at a nice warm temp. Now thanks to Skip Hop's new Moby Bath Thermometer you can take the guess work out of your child's bath water.

Recently we held Sweet Pea's 4th Birthday Party at our church. Since we live in Ohio it was to cold to be outside and our house was just to small to have kids running around inside. Our church has a very big fellowship hall in the basement which gave us enough room to set up activities and even one of our bounce houses for the kids to enjoy.

As a teenager I attended church and was active in the youth group, but the group was a "click" and you were either in or not in. Well I was never welcomed into the "click" and made some bad choices that caused the group to shun me and push me out more. I know now that the choices I made just gave me valuable life lessons that I can pass onto my own children. Do I regret the choices... YES... but because of the choices I have grown closer to the Lord.

When the temps are below freezing and there is snow on the ground what do you do for fun? Well if you are like me and DO NOT like the cold weather AT ALL you sit inside cooped up. Which makes you go crazy because there is only so much you can do to keep 4 kids busy inside a home. Luckily for us Ohio has some great indoor water-parks within a short driving distance from our home. Even though Winter Storm Linus was on the horizon for the weekend, we didn't let it keep us from visiting Castaway Bay for their annual blogger event! Thanks to Castaway Bay for hosting us!

Welcome 2015 the new year that holds 2015+ possibilities. I am excited to see what this year has in store for my family. We are starting the year off with a fresh start and I am excited to where this start will lead us. I have decided to take a different look on my life and try to be more positive even in the worst situations. I know that the Lord will only give me what he thinks I can handle and he has also given me a very supportive and loving husband that will help me get through whatever problems arise. But I need to learn to be strong and supportive as well for when Jake needs me.
I am not big on making resolutions for myself because I think they kinda of set you up for failure, but there are a few things I would like to work harder on.
1: I want to grow more in my faith and walk with the Lord.
2: I want to feed my family healthier foods.
3: I want to spend more quality time with my children outside.
The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children and I feel that I don't spend enough quality time with them. I want to teach my children to be great godly people and I feel that I have been slacking in this area. Bubba just turned 10 at the end of November and I know now is a crucial time to make sure that I have him walking on the right path with the Lord.
I am not sure where the new year will take my family but all I can do is put my trust in the Lord and know that he is leading our way. I hope you stick around to see where the Lord is taking us and feel free to share with me what your plans are for the new year.

When I was asked to review the Newmans Own Organics, I was a bit worried that I would not be able to get my husband and boys to eat them. Most people hear the word Organic and think... no flavor. Well let me be the first to tell you that the Newmans Own Organics tastes wonderful. They have so many choices to choose from that you should be able to find something you like.
Most people you talk to have an Elf on the Shelf. Im sure im not alone when I say that I tend to forget to move the elf each night. I told my boys that the Elf on the Shelf is taking a break this year and the roaming Reindeer are coming to visit. The roaming Reindeer are brought to help Santa Claus keep track and monitor the good boys and girls. The Roaming Reindeer come with 2 reindeer and a book to explain their purpose. It tells you how Santa gets busy and can not check all the boys and girls this year so Gus and Sam decide to help him out. The reindeer will stay together until a little boy or girl would misbehave. One of the reindeer will leave at the house and report back to Santa that the kids were bad.

With the holiday season upon us, why not let the scarf around your neck, the ornaments on your tree, or the wooden serving spoons on your table be conversation starters. What’s the topic of the conversation? Children and families living in impoverished communities and solving the challenges they are facing, such as access to food, clean water, education, and more.
How can a simple clothing accessory, tree decor or table decoration contribute to this dialog? Easy when you the (gift-giver) make a holiday donation through World Vision’s Maximum Impact Fund, the gift is used where it’s most needed, tackling some of the world’s greatest challenges. With just a donation of $25 or more the donor (gift-giver) receives a free gift (a few are listed below) to wear, carry, use or give to a loved one. Most of the Maximum Impact Fund items available in the catalog are made by micro-enterprising artisans around the world and the sale proceeds directly benefit their communities.

One thing that Jake has been trying to do is lose weight and get himself into shape. But we quickly realized that this is not the easiest of tasks to do. If you have ever tried to lose weight then you know how hard it can be. You exercise and watch what you eat but it is hard to watch portion control. Living in America we have grown up eating bigger portions then what is truly needed for our bodies to be healthy.

One thing that I love is books about nutrition and health. I love reading and learning about ways that I can easily make my family healthier. I also love adding new books to my kids library and I must say they have a lot of books. But I do not feel that having to many books is a bad thing for kids. Recently I received to great books from DK Books to add to my collection and the kids.

Do you have a hard time finding stocking stuffers for your kids? I know that this is one thing I struggle with every year. I hate filling the kids' stocking's with candy and cheap toys that will break quickly. I remember growing up that my Grandma would always get me a new toothbrush and toothpaste for my stocking. Yes that may seem weird to some but good dental hygiene should be a gift we give to all children.
One thing that I am a big fan of is personalized things for my home especially Christmas Ornaments! When I was little my Grandma would make a special Ornament for each of her grandchildren for her tree. Although the ornaments she made was just a colored bulb with our name and birth date on it, it meant a lot to us kids to have one because we knew they were made with love by Grandma. Over the past few years I wanted to start getting personalized ornaments for my families tree and Ornaments with Love is a wonderful place to get them!

One thing that I absolutely love to do is cook and bake. But one thing that I was missing was a good cutting board. I am picky when it comes to the types of products I use while cooking my food for my family. Now thanks to Carved Solutions I have a wonderful and beautiful cutting board. In my opinion it's almost to pretty to use.

One thing that I love to do for the Holiday's is bake. I bake for my children, family and friends and everyone seems to have a different thing I make as their favorite. So when the Holiday's come around I usually spend days on end in the kitchen making everyone's favorites. But as long as everyone leaves happy because they got their favorites is all the thanks I need. I love to see everyone happy and enjoying their favorite baked treats.
