The Killing Fields - A Journey You Won’t Forget

When most people think of a trip to Cambodia, they think of a beautiful tropical landscape with verdant rice paddies and ancient Buddhist temples. But Cambodia also has a startlingly dark past. Underneath the sparkling green jungle and behind the tourist attractions of Angkor Wat and the Bokor National Park, Cambodia bore witness to a deeply violent event. From 1970 until the early 1990s, the Khmer Rouge army, under the orders of dictator Pol Pot, plunged the country into a catastrophic civil war that left more than 2 million civilians dead, as well as famine and destruction of nearly all the country’s industry.
Many of the victims of the Khmer Rouge were buried in shallow, mass graves. These sites have been turned into memorials for the victims, and are now known as the Killing Fields. They are open to the public and serve as valuable ways to remember the past.

Very Sad News

This is a post that I wish I never had to write! Our beautiful little puppy Lillie that you all recently met in my SmartBones post passed away over the weekend from a condition she was born with that we were unaware of. Bubba is taking her death hard because she was his school work buddy. He would hold her while he was doing his home schooling and it really helped him. We are going to go back to where we got her and see what they will do for us if anything. We only had her about a month in half.

SmartBones Review

**This review was done by Lillie and Daisy Anderson

If you are like us we dogs are a part of the family and should have healthy treats just like our humans. That is one thing our family makes sure of when buying our dog treats. They always check to make sure our treats our rawhide FREE. Since we are not very big dogs rawhide is somewhat hard for us to chew and even harder for us to digest. That's why mom was so excited when she got the chance to have us review SmartBones a alternative to rawhide bones.

The GrowBox Review

Since my family has been trying to eat healthier over the past few years we have been growing our food in the summer. Which is great except the garden is at my in laws house so I can't just walk out and pick what I need to cook for dinner at times. So this year we are trying to find ways to have a small garden here at our house so we can enjoy the fresh veggies all summer. So when the GrowBox agreed to a review of one of their GrowBoxes I was super excited!

I love the idea of a pot garden and that is way we are looking into doing one for this summer. Most people do not realize how many different vegetables you can grow in pots. Everyone always just thinks of the potted herb gardens. But there are so many great perks to having a pot garden if you do not have a large yard to plant a normal garden. Some of the perks are you are able to garden without a large yard, no dealing with weeds and also easier to keep animals out of the vegetables.
